I took two apart. Blue was bad and when I swapped them the light that wouldn’t charge worked again so I ordered a replacement battery
Required tools and parts:
– 1.5mm hex
– soldering iron
– solder and flux
– heat shrink tubing
– wire stripper
– kapton tape (ideally… probably fine not to use
If you’re doing this you probably only need to know that the front four 1.5mm hexes are all that’s needed to remove, then they pull apart. Battery slides out with the LED assembly. Gasket may stick a little so be careful not to rip it. Cut one wire at a time, make sure your wires are cut so it’s long enough after soldering. I pre-soldered the leads then slid on heatshrink soldered the leads together. Move over foam rubber pads on sides and one and then re-assemble and viola.
