Yesterday I bought a beautiful 1999 Mongoose DX 3.5 from a very sweet lady for around $50. She told that she has another bike for sell and today I got the pictures. She wants to sell it quick so she is ready to give it away for $200. I’m not really familiar with MTBs and components of that level but it seems hella low for me. What do you think it can cost? Should I offer her $300, take it and run away with it?

It seems to be a good deal even with hope components and protectors for the stanchions (do look under them for wear or damage) and it seems to be pretty high specced so if your into the old stuff I’d take it home
I think it’s a beautiful relic.
$200 is fair. Much better deal than that mongoose.

It’s a cool piece of mountain bike history. It’s worth $100 and would make a great pub/city bike.
