Pictures show 46T vs 50T, there is probably also a weight difference.

Tooth profile is different – Wolf Tooth has the more standard narrow wide shape and SRAM has its shark fin thing. IDK if either is better. Wolf tooth is using harder 7075 aluminum, IDK what alloy the SRAM one is using (probably the same) but there might be a durability difference. Looks like the SRAM one has a little plastic cover near the center that may be more aero, but who knows – I doubt it’s even measurable in a wind tunnel at most speeds.

I bought the Wolftooth aero to try but haven’t mounted it yet. I have only previously used non-aero SRAM and Wolftooth chainrings. No complaints for any of them so far.

Anecdotal but I am a huge proponent of Wolf Tooth products, they are pro right to repair, and most of their stuff is made in the USA. I have never had a bad experience with one of their products.

I had the wolf tooth aero one. Worked well. Maybe a bit louder initially than sram (I had non aero sram version on another bike) but a fair bit lighter.

The wolftooth one is definitely quite a bit louder with flat top chains, but has worked just fine for me. If I was to switch to a different size chainring I would go with sram

Another vote here for Wolf Tooth.
I’ve been rocking their drop stop chainrings on my CX bikes and they’re fantastic.
They’re also solid folks and actually manage their own shop. Had a question about a part, they responded to an email same day and bounced me a discount code to make up for my mistake in ordering (and installing) the wrong thing.

Sure, SRAM is likely forged/coined in a big ass press prior to machining.

Appreciate everyone’s advice! Will hit up the wolf tooth!
