So I bought a thing, NS Bikes Majesty Frame, on a whim when I saw someone posted what I thought was a good deal. Problem is I haven’t ridden a bike since about 2011. (3 or so years of casual MTB/Downhill on my current bike. 2008 Santa Cruz Bullit) I rode BMX for years before that mostly dirt jumping and skatepark riding.
Here I am, 42 never built a bike, haven’t ridden in forever and don’t know what I was thinking. Where do I start?
Will any of my old parts from my 2008 Santa Cruz Bullit work on the bike? Rim set and brakes?
My idea, as ill informed as it is, is to build this with a ridgid chrome fork with full polished or chrome stem and handlebars. Is this an option? I also read somewhere that BMX style cranks can be used so I am going that route. Full polished or chrome once again. I guess I want an old school BMX cosmetic with a modern geometry and performance. I am 270 pounds and out of shape so me using this bike as a serious “dirt jumper” in the next year is probably low. My plan is to get back into riding with some Street / Local Skatepark riding. I honestly don’t even know where there is dirt jumping near me as I know no other bike riders. (I’m in Ventura County California)
Lastly what rim set would be good for a entry level, large guy, that won’t break the bank. I’m willing to wait till deals come up or Black Friday kind of thing for parts as I really didn’t have a budget to put into this bike.
Thanks guys for dragging me into this with you, I look forward to the adventure!

Maybe a 22-24” Bmx was what you had in mind?

This is why you don’t fuck your cousin, guys.
On the real though, just be prepared for normal reddit mentality. Hate can pile up, misinformation upvotes pile up, and lots of posts are solved via five seconds of Google or YouTube.
I’ve also seen really dope content, stolen bikes recovered, and people getting stoked on good ideas.
But fr, they are pretty correct here, this isn’t relevant. If you posted a 360 down a stairset it’d probably be welcome, but this is just kinda pointless here.
Anyways. Look at Spank wheels.

Wrong sub bud, rule 8: no wheelie bikes no djs.
I’m sure mtb subs will be excited for your new frame
