  1. of course, even better, get a sponge and some black spray in a can and spray it onto the sponge and tap the sponge where you want to paint it 😉

  2. a black Sharpie (or Micron or Posca…) will coat better than nail polish. If you don’t like it, you’d still want sharpie under it for color hide.

    You can, but you can also get a little bottle of black automotive touch-up paint for a couple bucks.

    Nail polish is a pretty decent idea actually. I’d probably try automotive touch-up paint since it will likely be more durable.

    Personally I would fully disassemble it and completely re paint it but yes nail polish should work just take some red scotch Brite and getting all the crud off

  6. Even better is a product called Aluminum Black. That’s what we use in the shop to cover up little accidents like this. One bottle will last a home mech a lifetime.
