Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your fork is bent

I don’t see the appeal of a coaster, but I have wanted to build up a cheapo bike like this into a single speed. Mostly because I have a bmx ashtabula style 3pc crank I’m itching to use. I’ve gotten lucky and ended up with three of those things, so I don’t really want to put them on anything I won’t keep. So far two are spoken for, bike-wise.

Dude this thing is legit cool! I think the frame is quirky AF and the handle bar combo plays nice with the frame geo. Really cool build man 🤘

I did this exact thing back in the mid 80’s (I’m old). Rode it around for a couple of months before I discovered that the stay the coaster break arm is attached to wasn’t designed for the downward pull when breaking. It bent a little bit and got the dropouts misaligned enough that the tire started rubbing against the frame just behind the bottom bracket.
It wasn’t a complete failure, though. The bike shop straightened out the stay and reinforced it somehow and it was good to go.

Nice.
