I decided against dumping 450€ on a driving licence and for a fraction of the cost upgraded this bike that gave up on me earlier this year. It's my first bike rebuild, and I've enjoyed every bit of the process and learned a lot even if some mistakes were made. It runs great and is sooooo much easier to clean & service roadside with the double kickstand and no rear brake. The conversion to 1×7 with a wide range cassette turned out perfect for my small city with long climbs and a lot of daily errands.

Just check out the view on the 4th photo I get to see every morning! At the end are some extra photos of the condition I bought it and the repaint process.

  1. Hey mate, loving to see you getting back onto a bike and living car free and good choice on the colour. Lovely cranks too. But if I may give my 2 cents, I’m begging you to put a rear brake back on.

Also you might be able to bend the arms on the rack to make it level if that’s something you’d want. Some racks have it in their instructions that you can bend them and retain the rigidity (as they’re not truly load bearing anyway). My Axion rack is like that, but **your mileage may vary**, maybe **research** it a lil first.
