I’d go for the Polygon. I’ve only heard bad things about Canyon customer service. Plus I’ve ridden a Siskiu D7, and a Siskiu N7 and they were surprisingly good bikes. I like the spec of the T9 quite a lot

Id wait. Im kinda in the same position except I might just frame swap my hardtail. Bikes will be cheaper during the end of October. If you need to buy now giant has some good deals

I was in the exact same spot back in April. Ended up with the Polygon T8 and I haven’t had any regrets. SE MI trails

Which ever had the better group set. But I’d lean towards polygon

Save a little more and go for a Ripley AF if you want a budget alloy bike

We have a Canyon (Aeroad) that we can’t adjust the headset on because proprietary Canyon bs. I highly recommend anything else

I have a 2022 D7. Polygon is a great direct-to-consumer brand. They shipped on time and were timely with their responses to my questions. For me, my frame of reference for MTB was back in the late 80’s to mid-90’s. So much had changed getting back into the activity and with so much to choose from, Polygon provided quality equipment at a reasonable price. And when (it’ll never happen) I want to upgrade parts, I feel it’ll be straightforward on the Polygon. Only regret is I wish I got a T8 but couldn’t justify the price difference at the time (and frankly haven’t ridden enough to justify it anyway).

The geometry on that Canyon spectral is on point if you ask me i love the short travle it’s very popy first thing i noticed was that. As a beginner, I’m no pro and my jumps on the canyon are always extra she comes with a lot of confidence if you ask me. Every bigger ramp or obstacles my canyon spectral AL5 125 has been the bike that does it for me. I stopped casing table tops with that bike. But the down side is customer service they do suck

Polygon is Spec’d better than the Canyon. Both are good for the price. But there are tons of sales going on right now, might be worth shopping around.

I’d go with the Canyon. Parts are pretty close and in my opinion the canyon is a better looking bike

Canyon. That rear shock is easily a 200 dollar upgrade – not counting everything else.
Canyon will also hold its value better. People often look at polygon the same way they look at a Chevy or a Ford and look at canyon more like a Toyota or Honda.

I would go with the Canyon, better build and overall better bike.

I think 29ers are better than 27.5’s

That T8 is the older one. There is a newer UDH version that has other upgrades as well.
