The set up can be adjusted. There are quite a few spacers there and you can also get a shorter stem. Take it in to your LBS (local bike shop) and see if they can help you sort out the fit (cockpit and seat height). There is def a way to get the front end a little tighter in without much cost.
The best bike is one someone gifts you that you really enjoy. Have a blast!
Just popping in to echo the sentiment about getting it up to a local bike shop. Go get it fitted and you’ll find it much easier and more comfortable. No need for the kickstand. You’ve been given a pretty incredible gift. That is a seriously nice bike that will serve you for life if you take care of it. Enjoy!!!
