Disassembled my tiagra jockey cage and wheels for cleaning. The front centurion g wheel has a bushing with 4 divots in it. Only on one side.
The other side doesn’t have divots. The jockey wheel itself has 4 slots running laterally through the metal cylinder the bushing slides into. (See pictures for all of this). (Picture 1: bushing side with divots. Picture 2:bushing side without divots. Picture 3: jockey wheel without bushing showing lateral slots).
TLDR:Long story short does it matter which direction the bushing with divots goes, and, which direction the jockey wheel goes?
Extra credit: already put grease on bushings but other ppl say chain oil. Grease or chain oil or doesn’t matter?

It doesn’t matter
I like to use a light grease on my bushings
It doesn’t matter which direction the bushing goes. I use light grease, you can use oil but not chain lube. Phil bio lube would be my oil of choice.
