I got my Aeroad in March and I never had any problems with it. On my last ride I rode over a pothole and my Saddle tilted to the back, so the front of my saddle went up. I can tilt it back while riding but it does not feel good when I am doing it.
After the Ride I tightened the screw and put new grease to it but the same problem happened again.

Did anyone has the same problem?

  1. The screw on the backside of the seatpost is for saddle tilt and it needs 12 nm (labeled on the bike)

  2. No grease on the threads or you will overtighten the screws. Carbon assembly paste where metal meets carbon or carbon meets carbon. Tighten the screw in the back to prevent rotation of the saddle.

  3. JadedEntrepreneur505 on

This style seat post is notorious for slipping over time. Carbon paste can help. Use a torque wrench to make sure it’s properly tightened. If it’s is and after that it’s still slipping, it’s possible that the hole is worn. I’ve had to shim that style of seat post to get it to stay put.
