- I’m on my 4th day
- Tire is deflated the following day. This is the rear wheel. Front wheel is fine only loses around 2-4psi overnight.
- Rode about 30km on small increments to distribute sealant
- Also sprayed soapy water on valve, no bubbles or leak
- Reseated the tire couple of times with an airshot. Popping occurred on initial installation. No more pops on the succeeding.
- Someone on discord suggested to add sealant and have it at the bottom. 2 hours have passed and I think it got smaller but there is still a leak.
I just want to exhaust all my options before I retape the rim.

Wait. Were you riding without sealant?
May have damaged the bead installing the tire. Ive never seen this happen if the tire was seated properly and you used proper sealant. Pump them up to ~40psi and make sure you spin the tires after filling them up to distribute that sealant. Check back a day later to see if it leaked and if it doesnt you can air down and ride.
Is your tire fully seated? Looks like it might be slightly low where your leak is. I’m drunk, though. Tubeless annoys me so much that I stopped riding tubeless many years ago.
Closing this sort of leak is exactly what sealant is for. You just need to get the sealant to the area of the leak.
Take the wheel off the bike. Put the leaking area at the bottom, and rock the wheel back and forth horizontally so that the sealant sloshes up along the rim bead. Do that a bit, maybe knock/bounce the tire against the floor like you’re breaking a plate over someone’s head. Do this until you see the leak spraying sealant, instead of just leaking air.
If you have a hole that’s not spraying sealant, you’re not using it right.
What type of sealant are you using?
