The sound occurs on the downstroke on both sides and I can definitely feel a clicking/creak coming front the pedals. I've tried pulling on the cranks while the bike is?still but can't replicate the click. Could it still be a bottom bracket issue? The bike has barely done many miles but it was a bit rusty when I bought it 2nd hand.
Here's what I tried:
– undid and greased all chainring bolts/ contact points
– greased the crank bolt
– greased deraileur hanger
– tightened cassette (was a bit loose)
– greased and pedal threads and switched pedals
– greased seatpost
– greased and tightened rear and front skewers
Yet to check the headset but will do. Bike is and Reid X2 Urban.

Clicks and creaks can come from literally anywhere, and the general rule of thumb is it’s almost never the bottom bracket.
Check pedals, chainring bolts, crankset, seat post, saddle bolts, stem and headset, and then finally the BB.
