I'd like to upgrade an awful hardtail to ride around local trails in NC and it appears the Giant bikes are pretty severely discounted right now. I'm looking at an XL for any of the following models (I think), but I don't know enough to differentiate them easily. My budget was initially sub-1k, but seems to be growing by the minute 😅

I had a x/29/1 and it was an amazing bike. Can’t imagine needing more bike than that even to this day.

I really love my 2021 trance x 29, as components break or wear, I upgrade. I’m a big guy (6’2”, 230 lb) and ride downhill and enduro in British Columbia in the Fraser valley, so steep mountains, wet terrain. It’s a good bike that rides well and has held up. I’m on my second pivot bearings, upgraded rotors all the way around, new xl brakes up front, odds and ends, shocks serviced, a few set of pads, tires and chains at this point.
