Hello! I just picked up this reynolds wheelset and could use some help identifying which model/year they are. I’m more into mountain biking, but would like to get into road biking. Would it be worth using these for a new build? If not, which model are they and would they sell well? They seem a bit outdated when I looked around online. Thank you

They look tubular? Tubular wheels are hard to sell since nobody rides tubular anymore due to the many incoveniences it brings for daily riding when you puncture, and when you have to replace the entire tire after it punctures. There are very few that do ride tubulars on the street and I’ve heard they inject sealant into the valves, and carry an entire second tubular tire with them if the sealant doesnt work. You can mount and dismount them without levers which is sorta nice I guess
If they measure 45mm deep, those are most likely the first gen Assault.
Second gen were 41mm and had a bump closer to the spokes that they called SLG.
