How screwed am I? Building my first bike and having some trouble. Shortened the brake hose on this SRAM Rival E1 and went to bleed it and it wasn't going well, the lever wouldn't really go in at all. Figured I screwed up the olive and barb so went to pull it out and it was stuck, then snapped with the hose and olive stuck in the lever. Following instructions I found on another post, I drilled out the barb easily enough, but the 5mm thread tap didn't catch. Now the olive is mangled and still stuck, it turns but I can't get it out. Any ideas? Can this receiving piece be replaced? I'm sure I could continue to drill it out and then clean up the threads but I'm worried whatever is beneath it will get mangled. Due to misordering, I actually have another brand new front lever that I could use but I was hoping to sell that as is.

At least it’s Rival and not Red. I don’t see how you are gonna get that out without screwing up the threads and internals.
You should let a professional take it from here.
There are two types of mechanics that will attempt this repair:
The first is much like gandalf when they meet the balrog and he tells everyone “fly you fools, this foe is beyond any of us,” and proceeds to sacrifice himself. With this kind of mechanic, there is a small chance they will prevail.
The other mechanic that will attempt this repair is the new kid who is too dumb to know better. This mechanic will destroy your lever and charge you for doing it.
The odds of success here are low, and this type of work is more common among machinists than than mechanics. Because it is so small, the tools for extraction are also quite limited.
Good luck!
Maybe a bolt extractor would work.
Also, DOT fluid gives me the creeps.
