And they didn’t see him again. They didn’t see him again. Talking about the possibility of an Irish medal here. It’s looking good for Hilly. Look at that. Skellmo can’t even see him now. Three and a halfks to go. Skea cannot see Ben Healey. There’s one climb remaining for everybody. Pugacha’s on his way to it. And at the base of this descent for the 15th and final time, he will take on the court the Kini Hura. And for Ben Healey behind, by the way, could be a first Irish elite men’s medal at the Worlds since a very good mate of ours did the same at the 1980s, Sha Kelly in 1989. And as we said before, this atmosphere, what a place to enjoy any celebration. Another shake of those legs as he comes to the corner. Leans into it beautifully. Here is Pugacha. There are his legions of fans. And it’s the final climb. 11% at the bottom. But the pain here is temporary. He will keep pumping away and putting out those watts. Tip Gachar began 100 kilometers ago with an attack and he’s now ready to finish it off for the teenth time. But this is a special place, a hugely significant moment. He’s going to be the first man to win tour and worlds in backto back seasons ever. There’s the smile. He knows what’s coming. It’s his moment again. Just survive these cobbles, no mishaps, no problems, and he will be there. He’s got a minute and a half now on and he knows that. And he knows the gap is unbridgegable. He knows he can’t be caught, but there’s just something about being off the front. But that situation, keep pushing, keep feeling that pain. It’s a certain type of ecstasy. by Neapol he’s had ups and downs there was the attack he was away and he stayed away since then has gone backwards he’s even been off his bike he’s had three different bikes since then had a fight with himself with the mechanics with the world at times but he is here and he is being cheered onto that final climb as well and just as Puggra is primed to finish it starts it. It’s the two top actors of the week. One won the time trial. The other one will take the worlds. And in Camp Slovenia, riders, swanurs, mechanics, masses, all celebrating together. Yeah, the welcome committee is at the ready at the finish line. As you said, for Remco, even of course, it’s been a day of ups and downs. And for Tugard, it’s been up, up, and away. And flying towards another rainbow. Here’s Healey again. 21 seconds now. And Ska just has to hold it up here for one final climb. A wonderful day for all of you Irish fans who are watching as well. 1989 the last time in this men’s elite race that a world’s medal was taken back to the emerald aisle [Applause] flicks through the gears spins away bike rattles on those cobbles and it’s about to finish doing so now for Toga [Applause] the modern great what a character as well smiling away that after doing the damage and now he’s starting to realize he’ll allow himself this moment. Soak it up, drink it in, enjoy it. The late afternoon sunshine in Kgali, the capital of Rwanda, the first African nation ever to host the UCI Road World Championships. A unique event and for a unique race, a rider like no other. We’ve seen it before. We’ve said it before. But here he is yet again. It’s another centuryl long demonstration. 1K to go. He’s already be on the attack for over a 100. Robbie Mchuan, what a man. I mean, unbelievable. People watching this, it is hard to fathom how special this athlete is. But Taga, he did it last year. He won the tour and won the world. He came out this year, dominated the tour to France, reset himself for the end of the season. He’s come to Rwanda, and Pac-Man Pog has done it again. He’s chewed him up and ridden his way to a rainbow. That little rest after the climb’s over. One more rise to the finish line in green today. in rainbow again for the next year. Tulachan is here to finish the job and he’s going to have time to celebrate. And look up to the hundreds and thousands of people who’ve cheered him on all day. It’s been the day of their lives. It’s certainly one of the days of his. Absolutely sensational. A sporting spectacle like few others. An athlete the likes we’ve never really seen before. Khaja last year crowned the triple. An off day last Sunday. An inspiring performance some were saying. He’d been training all week. Friends and family along his side. Here he is though back where he belongs on the road. Arms in the air and at the end of Africa’s first coming to the finish line. It’s going to be the world’s greatest pulach does it again. First rider in a win tour to France and world’s two years running in the same season. There is nobody like him and there is no event like this. Diacha for the second year running is the world wrong race champion. There his mates. They set him up and with over 100 km to go on that Kagali. It was one attack, one acceleration that did for the rest. [Applause] And look at what it means for them all. Best of the rest is here as well. What a day it’s been for Recoip. Talk about ups and downs. But it’s going to finish with a very big moment of celebration. He came here as the main rival to Bugattacha. It’s not going to be just like at last year’s Olympics with a Remco double double, but I will be eternal because he’s played his part today. He shakes his head here. Not everything went right for him. Perhaps he’ll tell us he had the legs to do more. He certainly done more than enough. A rainbow jersey last week after catching Pugacha. Let’s not forget. But here in the road race is a silver medal for Belgium. Renu the ball takes it and that is quite the performance when you consider everything that happened. Robbie, well the ups and downs of his day matched the course that we had today. An absolute roller coaster for the Belgian. see the shake of the head. It It’s also a mark of what he expects of himself. Absolutely elite. What a brilliant performance, a brilliant world. But this this is big. Ireland are back on a podium at the World Championships for the first time since the end of the 1980s. This year has been the year of Ben Healey’s life. And no wonder he’s smiling as he comes to the finish line. He will celebrate. And Ben Healey takes bronze. It’s Bugattacha. It’s in Nepal. And today in Kegali, Healey’s in the same conversation.

How great to watch a race without idiots disrupting and blocking the road. Spain watch and learn
He who laughs last, laughs best
ONLY AN ALIEN CAN WIN TWICE 100K FROM THE FINISH IN TWO YEARS.
Remco getting dropped in the first attack then needing a bike change and still came second! Best performance today no doubt 👌
What about Big Mig, he was dominant
Champ shit only!! Let’s go pogi!
How does a world champion like Remco have problems with two bikes, are they not checked and checked again. Or is it a case of throwing your toys out of the pram when your dropped.
🤔
So unbelievable. 100km breakaway. Really? Nothing suspicious there then.
Went to ride my bike right after the race, to go through Pogi's born village, "The Sloop", how many cyclists around cycling, yeah, we're silently so proud on him, BRAVO Tadej !!!!
only 30 finished. brutal race.
Pogi number one in the world! Congratulations!!😊
brawo brawo brawo !!! Pogacar
RIP Muriel Furrer.
Pogacars gonna take 5 wrld champs now 😂😂
Brood en spelen
Non è possibile che pogacar vinca dominando da marzo a fine settembre. gli emiri avranno trovato nuovi metodi di doping. Fra 3/4 anni tutto verrà smascherato. Armstrong non ha insegnato nulla?
Pogacar is THE GOAT!
For all the people wondering what would have happend if Remco did not have a mechanical problems, saddle gradient problems, etc…he would lose
Folks writing Pogi off last week. Dude is amazing
This was a brutal ride. For everyone!
Is it too early to say that Pogi is the GOAT?
LETS GO REMCO!!! WE'LL GET 'EM NEXT TIME!!!
Everytime this cry babies. Pogi wins? Dopping. Anyone else wins, they are clean. No one talks about the super strong visma? What happened? Enjoo the sport and stop with the nonsense. Last week Remco was not dopping as well? To give 2 min to Pogi? Cmon.
Tadej Pogacar! Humble and modest in talking, brave, curageous and heroic on bike! Brilliant rider! Unquestionably the best rider of his generation. And one of the best ever!
Evanopoel has had a great week he put nearly 3 minutes into pogicar last Sunday and caught him in the time trial , and we’re it not for the bike saddle issues would hsve at least challenged pogicar a lot more ….. hats off to them both just hope for the neutral pogicars dominance is not to great in 2026 because it’s not exciting to watch
Remco never had the legs to match tadej today.
