New bottom bracket. You see the rust on the back side of the pedal arms? Thats bearing in powder form
Bearing play with the bottom bracket. You will need a crank extractor and then a replacement BB
Replace the bottom bracket. You’ll need a hollowtech 2 wrench or socket and a tool for the plastic screw on the left side
~~Spend the extra money to get a good, non SRAM, GXP style bottom bracket. SRAMs only last a year or so unless you pull the seals on the bearing and pack them from the start.~~
I was wrong.
New bottom bracket, possibly a new crank if the spindle is worn.
In case of confusion. Bottom bracket refers to the bearings that the cranks run through. They do tend to need special tools so you’ll need the right ones.
