  1. New bottom bracket. You see the rust on the back side of the pedal arms? Thats bearing in powder form

    Bearing play with the bottom bracket. You will need a crank extractor and then a replacement BB

  3. Replace the bottom bracket. You’ll need a hollowtech 2 wrench or socket and a tool for the plastic screw on the left side

    ~~Spend the extra money to get a good, non SRAM, GXP style bottom bracket. SRAMs only last a year or so unless you pull the seals on the bearing and pack them from the start.~~

  5. In case of confusion. Bottom bracket refers to the bearings that the cranks run through. They do tend to need special tools so you’ll need the right ones.
