New front wheel day, however, the hub doesn’t seem to fit into the axle at all, no matter which way I turn the hub.
Is there a correct orientation so it will drop into the axle, there is a flat part on the right side (as in the photos) but still doesn’t fit either way 🙁
Hope someone can help or give advice
Cheers!

Which SP dynamo hub is it
We’ve only ever tried SV8 and had no issues

Will it also not fit with the flat against the side of the dropout?

I don’t know about how that bub works, but it seems like the axle has a notch. If that notch is located vertically (i.e. at the 12 or 6 position in a watch face), does it not fit?

Is that flat section supposed to be in line with the dropout ?

File the paint off the dropout.

Looks like there’s a blotch there for fitment.

SERIOUSLY?

Thanks to all for the help, advice and suggestions!
This is now solved!
The two options were, ahem gently “teasing it in” with, um, a rubber mallet
or
simply shaving the tiniest bit off with a file.
I went with the second option.
What a relief!
Thanks again this is now sorted and I’ll be able to ride tomorrow morning.
(For everyone saying things like ‘seriously?’, they clearly didn’t read my post where I clearly mentioned I had tried in all orientations. I only uploaded two images for sake of simplicity. )
Cheers!
