So I took delivery of a CF7 this week and love it except for these two weird issues:
-
The head of the screw to increase the angle of the aero bars strips (you can see where the black has turned silver) if I try and loosen it so I’m too afraid to twist any harder for fear of stripping the groove completely.
-
The plastic wire cover thingy over the headset doesn’t sit well (see how shallow the plastic grip heads are inside which are supposed to grip into the metal grooves on the headset), and this is exacerbated when pulling off the magnetized hydration straw since the whole thing pops off – the grooves inside the plastic cover aren’t nearly long enough to get any real purchase on the metal headset grooves, which seems to be a design flaw, unless I’m missing something?!
Anyone found any solutions?!

You don’t need to move that. There is a bolt from underneath that you can use with an hexagon key
I think you adjust the angle from the bottom of the base bar. I don’t know exactly how, my bike fitter did it, but you can see the screw in the picture. The black things hold the screw/ turn as necessary, when there is more angle applied.
And yeah the cover thing sucks. I put a magnet (the hydration system came with one) on the aero bars, and I stick the tube to that. Idk if it’s less aero, maybe 1w my guess.
