Did you really expect this car driver to be able to see you coming from their perspective? You see a gap opening up, cars giving way to this person, so you're the one who could easily expect this. Not the other way around, since you're coming from a blind spot (at high speed). I cycled more than 60k km in dense city traffic alone. The way you ride, you won't survive half of that. Be reckless on empty roads as much as you want, just don't drag other people into it like you do.
