I just ordered a 2026 Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 7 and I'm getting slammed with $745.23 in import charges from UPS with $418.46 being "Other Government Charges". Is this because parts are manufactured in China and Taiwan? Is there any point to try and file a casual refund claim with CBSA?
I thought I'd at least put this out there in case anyone is curious. I live in Vancouver.

You can try and get a refund but it’s a crapshoot. Some models get duties applied, others do not. Still probably a great deal!
Similar to what I paid on my Grail in 2022.
