Day 11 of my Italian budget adventure 🚴🇮🇹
I left Pisa and headed south, only to get caught in a sudden thunder shower. Heavy rain, soaked gear, and a quick escape into a café for shelter. By the afternoon the skies cleared and I was back on the road, cycling through Italy on a budget and pushing the journey forward.
Every day brings a new challenge, but that’s bikepacking life — some sunshine, some storms, all part of the adventure.

I’m cycling Italy on 20 hours a day. Italy on a budget. Waking up on the outskirts of Pisa today. The weather ahead was going to be a bit of a mixed bag. But I took off towards Rome and hope for the best. I’ve lost both my fork and my big spoon. So now I’m just eating everything with a baby spoon or a teaspoon as it’s called in Ireland. And then the rain came. I was a wet wet boy. After a few hours break in a cafe, the rain cleared and I could get in my kilometers for the day. Please drop me a follow so you don’t miss out on the rest of the adventure. Let’s go.

Would you push on through a thunderstorm 🌧️🚴 or take cover and wait it out?
