As inexpensive as these parts are, and while you’re there why not?
That cup looks like it sustained damage from the same process that rusted out the bearings. You are going to have to replace the entire headset.
You could definitely “get away “with it. It might sound a little grindy but should work fine enough.
Depends on how often and what you use the bike for.
You can. Not idea. Will not be smooth.
I work on my own bikes at home even built another one at the start of summer, but never this style.
If the black part serves as bearing race, I would replace both bearing and race. Like first of all, it’s already mostly apart, and secondly, you want it to work good not just for today, for a week, but for a long long time. Do it right re first time
