£550 – looking for a decent bike for long rides, seems to be a lot of bike for the money but I don’t know much about Planet X bikes
No idea about group sets etc but the wheels alone I think are worth about half the asking price.
Any suggestion on if this is a good deal would be much appreciated! Thanks

Yeah, that’s cool, and a good price. A bit old, not especially aero, but the geometry is good if it’s the right size for you. I’m not especially fond of the ergonomics of the first-gen SRAM hydro levers, but I also have a bike with it and it works well, and doubletap is reliable. Bonus: 11-speed SRAM road has the same pull ratio as 10-speed SRAM MTB stuff so you could get a long-cage X5 or X7 derailleur which would let you use a 36T cassette for cheapo.
