[Music] Good morning. Coming to you from Bitter Hell, Germany. Gail is literally It’s coming from the southwest. We’re going northeast. We might have to pedal 27 miles today and have another kid. And yesterday when Darren fell off his bike into the road, the GoPro kind of got hit. So, we don’t know if there’s scratches on the limbs and and a dead cat. So, we don’t know. Sorry. Bye. I like it. Morgan done. Well, this is Bitterfell. There’s a huge lake. When I say huge, I mean really big. Um, I think this is actually a little dock. A ton of sailboats at the marina right over there. Are those house boats, Susie? Or they’re just houses on the water? I don’t know. I didn’t even see them. Wow. Hi. In case you’re new here, what we are working with is um I have a front rack that’s broken in three places that we repaired with zip ties and spinting and I think it’s holding up. We tried to replace the bag in Germany in a big city and went to several bike shops and asked the people and they said, “Nope, you don’t sell those. You have to order it online.” So, we couldn’t replace it on a trip. We just have to make sure that we can get to our destination. So, the gusts are about 25 to 30 mph behind us. It is a dream. But I saw this thing in the water that looks crazy and I want to try to find it. Oh, there it is. Okay, we’ll turn right. Look at this thing. [Applause] What in the world is it? I thought it was a slide, but I think maybe it is just some sort of stairway. Right. So, this is the windy river. [Music] It’s really windy. [Music] I always try to take Susie to the nicest parts of town. It’s usually right around the bunt Hoff. That’s what we’re doing. More than Woo. That’s Susie back there saying I’m I’m at zone 3.5. We need to slow down. I’m at 2.0 or 2.8. So, we have to keep going. [Music] Having an adventure [Music] on the highway. Susie goes first on the highways and then I stay behind her and drive like I’ve been drinking a little too much in the morning and weave a little bit. Hope people see us. We’re in Jordan craft work. Look at this. on the bike path. Somebody has a little fall thing or harvest thing set up with some uh free apples. Very cute. I think Darren’s going to try some. Got some pits in it. I don’t mind pits. Oh, you mean? Yeah. Good. Mhm. Oh, yeah. A little bit shallower. Sweet. Little shower. It’s a pretty cool little town. Nice people. Been waved at a couple of times. Like a little fall scarecrow in there. Did you see it? Yeah. Mica. Go. We go. I think we go this way. [Music] These are kind of things that never get old. You’re driving down a neighborhood and then you come to the end of the neighborhood. There’s a restaurant on the left and there’s a walkway and a bridge and a little lake. It’s just always surprising. Not sure how we got here. We’re going along a path by a lake and then Shazam up a gravel hill and into the pastures. Part of the adventure Okay. Or do you want me to go first? Watch your chain, your bottom sprocket, though. Okay. Now, get off. There you go. I’m bossy. Maybe I should have helped. You want to stop? I’ll help. More at a right angle. Yeah. Let’s We can just You on the front, I’ll go on the back. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I didn’t do that. Grab your Oh, I grabbed the front rack like a dummy. Did you pull it out? Yeah, a little bit. Oh, dear. That was dumb. Yeah, that’s exactly what I was doing. Fix it. Let me do it. Sorry. I was looking at it all day. Aritecture is a little bit different here. Notice that architecture is a little different right back there. Lower houses. This is never mind. So this is some sort of red wig one R1. Red. Yeah, red I think means bicycle or something. Wagg means way. This means the bumpy way. Maybe that’s what it means. It’s a blustery day. I dare say it’s the blusteriest day we’ve had on our trip. But thankfully it’s coming from behind us. So happy about that. Another street Whittenberg. Yeah, this looks a little janky. I called it says, “Dear guest, please call this number.” So I called it over and uh the lady didn’t speak English and she said after a lot of back and forth she said wait. So we waited about 10 minutes but it came. So look at all of the apples. Goodness gracious. sign says camping plots. So, I’m trying to find a camping plat. This is pretty. Wow, it’s massive. I suspect the areas to the left are going to be the tip sites of the wall. How’s this for a lunch spot? [Music] To sum up the ride, we rode about 28 miles and only 500 ft of elevation gain, I think. Um, we got to the campground, set up camp, and then went into town because we were at Wittenberg, which is where Martin Luther lived when he did the 95 thesis thing and put the um on the church door and um started the whole Protestant Reformation and had a seminary there and taught there. Anyway, so we we visited a museum, went around the town and went to the church where he um did all that. So then we rode back to the campground. So, we did five extra miles on our bikes, but it it wasn’t terrible. Um, thanks for watching. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music]

Great to here about Martin Luther in Whittenburg and the Protestant reformation. I was just reading some things about that this morning. I did not know that Whittenburg was now in East Germany. That seems so weird to think that the location of Martin Luther's reformation ended up in East Germany, when the reformation itself affected so much of the West.
Nice.
