So ive recently picked up a Sr Suntour Durolux 38 to put on my 2024 merida 160 and theres just this massive gap.
Do i need to buy some new spacers and bearings? Beacuse to even fit it like that ive had to remove the bottom headset bearing.

That’s an E-Bike steerer. It’ll not fit your bike.
There are now two standards for tapered steerers. 1.5″ and 1.8″. That frame is designed for 1.5″ and your fork is 1.8″.
