give us a chance. Now, give us a chance. [Music] So, a a 17th time at the moment for Dylan Sage at the first time point, meaning that we have seen all the riders go through that point. Sean Kerov has the fastest time there. Ashlin Bry in second. Mikl Mau is in third. All very close together. This is the situation at the first intermediate. I could have saved myself some words here. Did I know that there was a uh a graphic on screen? Final kilometer now for Mik Mais. This morning it was already a pretty successful morning for the Dutch. The time to aim for is 2916 for Seph vonerova. Mais he still has 1 and a half minutes to get himself to the finish line. This is of course the sector where he can really really gain some speed. But the final 300 meters are a brutal, brutal final 300 meters. I’ve never seen such a difficult finish in a time trial in my memory. 500 meters to go for Mik Mus. He’s got a minute 15 to do it. What do you reckon, Michael? I reckon he’s going to do it. He looks terrific. He’s still on the arrow bars hitting the bottom part of that slope up to the finish. Just getting out now, accelerating a bit. I think he looks terrific. I think he’s going to get there. Mik Mais already the European champion last year in 2024. He’s the Dutch national champion as well. It’s a cycling name. His uncle Yens Mais a former pro. Vessel Mais of course his big brother also a professional rider and Miko Mais the youngest of them all on his way to the finish line. Will this be a rainbow ride for the Dutchman? The second one of the day because this morning there was already a rainbow for me Adams. Final few meters for Mik Maldis. There will be a tense wait at the finish line. This is all that he can do. Give everything in his final meters to the finish line to set his time and then wait for the final riders to make it to the finish. Mik Mos, he’s got the fastest time for now, but will it be enough for Rainbows? He paced that really nicely. He was about six, seven seconds behind van Kirkov at the first time check. He was seven or eight seconds in front of him at the second time check after going down the hill. And crucially, he left enough to nail that final that final cobble climb cuz he’s one of the slightly bigger riders we’ve got here. So maybe not absolutely naturally his his, you know, his strong point, but it’s about pacing it and keeping that right. And he didn’t go out too hard, which you’ve seen a lot of riders do. He kept what he needed to hang on to that lead through that difficult difficult last couple of kilometers. Current standings at the finish line, Mik Mais in first place. Stefan Kakov for Belgium in second place and Beckham Drake in third place. Max Hines it’s in fourth. Uh good ride by the British junior. Dan Sage struggling a little bit more. Now we have to see what Ashlin Berry is going to do. I don’t think this is going to be enough to beat Mikil Mais. We’re picking them up rather early with the finish camera. Miko Mars was so good um on the the sort of sectors two and three from the first time check and the second and the second to the third that I think Ashit is going to have to really pull something out to to to beat him across that that not going to happen. That is not one and a half minute now very nearly Benedict Benz the German rider. [Applause] Is it going to be a medal ride? That is another question. It’s not going to be a co a gold medal ride, but will it be enough for silver? For the moment it is, but we’re still waiting for Yan Blucas Stevenson, Matia Augustakio, Benedict Ben, Mats Fondan, and Dylan Sage. But Judging from what we saw at the intermediate timing so far, um it might be enough for Ashlin Barry to to bring home a medal. Yeah, I mean his biggest problem of the last the second intermediate time check, Augustineio, the Italian was in eighth position 40 seconds down, but of the riders left out on the road who’ve been through that check, he’s the best placed. Um I think to be honest, it’s a similar story at the at the first time check. Yeah. Um, I think that there’s a great chance that uh that we’re looking at our podium.
