Was looking through some old catalogues, these stock Peugeots from 1986 had the xbike formula right from the start. Now we're frothing to build just about exactly this😅
If they only were easier to find these days. And if you find its either not the right price or frame size. Shits frustrating to say the least.

My LBS back in the day sold Schwinn and Peugeot. When ATBs came out, they refused to sell them, saying they weren’t “real” bicycles, saying they were “just a passing fad.” Schwinn came out with the Sierra in 1983, and Peugeot was what? 1984? Funny, they said the same thing about BMX, but they held their nose and took the money. Needless to say, they went out of business in 1989. And in 2025, we’re still here riding, loving and talking about these faddish, fake bikes.
