I ordered a 50mm rise 50cm width Topshelf handlebar with flare for my gravel bike. How are you determining your handlebar width if you are using this or the kitchensink? I see some running 53cm wide. I’m a 46R suit jacket so shoulders are pretty wide.

I just got a bike fitting and we measured from the center of rotation of one shoulder to the other. Basically, centerline of your arm just off your shoulder, when it’s hanging vertically. I measured at 43-44, it’s still a little subjective. I have super long arms (suit is 44L, shirt size is 17.5-39, and I’m 6’5″ and 215lbs). I ride my mountain bike bars at 770-790mm depending on the bike.
I went with a 46cm Whisky No.9 24F bar vs the Top Shelf for three reasons:
* I didn’t want the additional 20mm rise of even the kitchen sink bar
* The No9 was $144 for carbon (from Universal Cycles) vs ~$110 for the alloy Kitchen Sink. I think the reason the No9 is so inexpensive was that version 1 of the bar was recalled for a breakage risk!
* 46 was plenty wide, given the increased (24deg) flare vs my previous bar, a 42cm Lauf Smoothie 12deg. The bars measure 43cm at the tops of my hoods, which are quite high, and the drops are much, much wider at 570mm.
I also raised my stem 10mm for a more mountain bike feel. Given your tires, and dropper, it looks like that’s what you do too! I bought my wife a Kitchen Sink bar, and she loves it. She needed the extra rise, shallow drop, and better hood position vs her old Giant stock bars (2020 Revolt).
