One rider. 1,100 km. 20,000 m elevation. Through Norway. No support.
Bright Midnight crosses fjords, endless gravel roads and the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe.
A crash, dangerous hike-a-bike sections where every step counts, encounters with inspiring people and laughter in the middle of nowhere. Landscapes so unreal they felt like a dream.
This video is about freedom and pushing both physical & mental boundaries. It is also about experiencing the joy of ultra cycling.
I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for riding along with me here ❤️

Welcome to Bright Midnight. [Music] Bright Midnight is an unsupported ultra in Norway with 1100 km and 20,000 m of elevation. Last year I did my first ultra which was Badlands and now I want to share this experience in this beautiful country. So enjoy the video. Go [Music] [Music] speech speech. What the [Music] [Music] heat? [Music] Super Tunda [Music] at So, day one was great. Bits of rain, but a stunning scenery. Ended the day with a pasta and slipped to a solid sleep. On day two, I left around 8 heading towards the mountain hut. [Music] [Music] So, I’ve just had my second breakfast at the mountain hut. Also, I’ve messed around with the position of my saddle here. I thought it had shifted. Just saying this was not my smartest move. [Music] Heat. Heat. Hey. [Music] [Music] Hey. Hey. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello. Ador [Music] [Music] This was hands down one of the most beautiful parts of the Ultra. I didn’t want to walk this part, so I put my balance skills to the test. [Music] [Music] [Music] that the hiker [ __ ] my boy. Look, I need the feather. [Music] Hey shitty shy [Music] ready for the Okay. [Music] This day was packed with climbing, but Vince and I pushed on and rode another 15ks to reach this beautiful guest house just past Strand. It was late and we were pretty cooked. Day three. Everything was charged up again, including our bodies after a solid breakfast. And it was time to hit the road again. Off to a village called Long. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Woo. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Long time no see. Along the way, I met some really nice fellow riders. And then there were also a lot of curious people. Some asked what the hell we were doing. Others just took pictures of the bike like it was a rare animal. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] that saddle adjustment on day two had some consequences. Well, hello knee pain. Hello there. Another [Music] day, another climb. Heading up to Dang. Yeah, hard to pronounce, but here we go. [Music] [Music] [Music] Day three was a long and painful one. My knee was not happy, but the painkillers helped. Luckily, we ended the day in long with pizza, family, and friends. [Music] [Music] This was the highest point of the ultra,434 m above sea level. And apparently it’s also a great place to go for a run. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] It’s launched [Music] a long clim. Yeah. Y [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] the jam. There we are. Motor without the light. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] My helmet saved me. Yeah. So, that was my nasty crash. I thought I could keep up some speed for that next hill, but the gravel down there in that curve was too loose, so I lost control. I scratched up my hip and arm. Luckily, I was wearing long sleeves, but my head took a hit, too. And that turned out to be a light concussion. So, because of this crash, I ended the day in Tinkeret. And there I had a nice recovery meal, which was a pasta. And here you have a censored version of my wounds. So, this is day five. I didn’t sleep well at all, but after breakfast, I was ready to see how the body feels on the bike. [Music] Do five. [Music] [Music] [Music] At one point I realized I was yawning while riding. heading not a great sign. So I decided to stop and buy to stood for the day together with Mika who was also not feeling great. So we’ve booked a lodge and settled for a very deep sleep. Well, good morning on day six. I think I slept about 15 hours day and night combined. Fully passed out. But it worked. The pain and pressure in my head was finally fading. I hope the last the host burn off the island.
