pickle forks are fairly destructive in my experience.. would still likely destroy that crankarm but you wouldn’t have wasted as much time. They sell them at Harbor Freight for $10.
A bearing puller may have salvaged the crankarm, if desired.

I’ve used a [plastic chisel](https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=plastic+chisel&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8) in the past to dislodge stubborn cranks without damaging anything (except the chisel)
