Derailleur hanger is definitely bent right? I was able to adjust the cable tension and indexing to have shift smoothly. Not sure if it's worth getting it straightened out in a lbs.

Yes that’s definitely bent, but not too bad you could try to bend it back but otherwise probably best to replace it
It’s easier to gauge is off the cage/ chainline
It definitely looks like it’s bent, but if it’s working fine and there are no visible cracks in it, then leave well alone.
Alternatively, buy a spare hangar and a £20 Dag tool from ali express and bend it back straight properly .
Whether it’s made that way or not, it looks kinda flattened z shaped. So might be fine. You can use another wheel as an improvised hanger gauge.
