Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Bluesky Threads Derailleur hanger is definitely bent right? I was able to adjust the cable tension and indexing to have shift smoothly. Not sure if it's worth getting it straightened out in a lbs. by ecc1215 Bicycling Bike Bike Repair Biking Cycling Repair
Schnozbanger on September 22, 2025 9:03 pm Yes that’s definitely bent, but not too bad you could try to bend it back but otherwise probably best to replace it
Novel_Marionberry_25 on September 22, 2025 9:50 pm It definitely looks like it’s bent, but if it’s working fine and there are no visible cracks in it, then leave well alone. Alternatively, buy a spare hangar and a £20 Dag tool from ali express and bend it back straight properly .
BBMTH on September 22, 2025 11:26 pm Whether it’s made that way or not, it looks kinda flattened z shaped. So might be fine. You can use another wheel as an improvised hanger gauge.
