Chain wrapping around ebike sprocket?

So I’ve just replaced the chain on my trek powerfly but now it wraps around my sprocket after a few pedals. Only happens in higher gears where there is more chain slack. I’ve watched it happen a few times and it seems to be getting caught on the sprocket rather than the derailleur. I’ll also mention the derailleur is new.
