Hi everyone,
I just got back from bikepacking and a stone caused a dent in the rim of my rear wheel. It only affects the right rim surface, and there’s no noticeable lateral or vertical wobble, nor any broken spokes. However, while riding, the dent is definitely noticeable to some extent. Can I bend it back, or should the rim already be replaced given the size of the dent? The rim in question is a DT Swiss GR1600. Thanks!

Don’t bend it back. Aluminium will break when bending back a big dent like that. If it is only the side that is bent, I would leave it and keep riding
Gr1600 is not carbon isnt it? Then its yr lucky day. Just keep riding, its fine.
Had the same problem this summer, during vacations in a relatively unpopulated area (lurk in my history).
edit, this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/bikewrench/comments/1lvqjtc/what_can_i_do/
I saw two bike mechanics who said: « it held, don’t touch it. If problem use a tube (I was in tubeless). Replace the rim when you can / come back »
The rim + tire held well, and I was able to ride several hundred kilometers with it.
I changed the wheel when I came back from vacation.

Could you tell explain further ?
Do the wheel behavior has changed ? If so, I would be very cautious.
I’d replace it. Had a dented rim years ago and the tire came off multiple times. It was a tubed road rim so the pressure was higher. I wouldn’t trust it.
Now the fate is just giving you the justification for bumping up to carbon!
