my name is Chaba gach I work for vbt as a trip designer I’ve been involved with the company since 2010 when I’m designing a trip it’s especially important where guests can have a great discovery biking and cultural food etc etc so it is very important for me that those Discovery moments on tour uh they they really happen in a relaxed space this is a a very special mixture of uh a small River Cruise experience and the biking experience in uh this uh well-known and beautiful environment of the Portuguese Duro Valley guests can enjoy a perfect mixture of active vacations and cultural experience with uh with some nice food and wine experience I had a fantastic help from a local leader who lives uh in Porto and is a great expert of the Duro Valley we had the two longer visits in the area driving uh hundreds of miles in his car visiting small villages and creating this this uh fantastic tour what I really love in this program that almost each day has a different scenery and uh there is one day I have a very specific bike route very close to my heart it’s a rail trail I love rail trails with all their Beauties and advantages and this rail trail actually gives us an a sense of the entire Duro Valley webt waterways is is providing a unique experience guess didn’t need to worry about uh packing your luggage and uh check out check into the next hotel every other day the Duro Valley due to due to its nature you cannot just ride along the river directly except uh for the first part so in order to get to the Fantastic Bike R you need to use shuttles and if you are on your own probably it’s it’s um not easy to find a transportation there is only a very limited number of river cruise ships on the Duro because just because of the capacity it is really a luxury small River Cruise experience uh the ship uh is the smallest in the fleet of emerald uh with only uh 112 passengers on board as a trip designer it is a part of my job that I go there I test uh the ships and the other hotels for me stepping on board it felt like I’m arrived home
