Bought my first ever road bike today, paid 360$usd for a 2005 cannondale CAAD 8. Went for a ride and almost immediately blew both of the old tubes out so I will be going to get that fixed tomorrow to ride much more. loved what I did get to ride though, coming from a heavy mountain bike this 19~ pound road bike is awesome and a world of difference. Tell me how I did, did I get scammed? Any tips and tricks for a new road rider? That sorts of thing

Reminds me of my 2005 alu Fuji with the same groupset. Good tires make a world a difference. If you feel like you need to make an upgrade on the bike I’d start there. But otherwise maybe an overpay for an old aluminum road bike but nothing to beat yourself up about I’ve seen worse
