After riding a few bike park days I’ve found an annoying play in what initially felt like my suspension. I have found however a wiggle between my chain and chainring. What component do I need to change to fix this?

Chain probably worn. If you just replaced the chain then your old worn out chain has worn through the teeth on the chainring and you should replace that too.
