Co2 reduction is reducing the acceleration of warming. There will still be warming after emissions drop to 0 (which in itself is impossible).
Essentially there is a deer in the headlights. We have no brake pedal and we are slowly taking our foot off the accelerator and hoping we don’t crash into the deer.
To label this “fighting climate change” is misleading and reductionist tribalism.
