This is my trusty but rusty commuter bike. It does sleep outside. Last saturday I forgot to park it inside and some pisshead spent some time throwing a paving stone at it. The results are in the pictures. I would like to keep riding it, and in fact I will until I get a new bike, but the downtube looks bent at the frame, which I think is a bit concerning.
Do you think I should dispose it right away? How bad would it be if it definetly breaks while riding? Longest ride I typically do with it would be a 50min walk.

If you value having skin, I’d look into a new commuter. But if you like surprise skin remover, keep on keeping on
For frame material, steel doesn’t fail catastrophically suddenly. That downtube is trashed, but it’s more likely to start bending and folding rather than snapping in half. I’d ride it as a commuter, I wouldn’t ride it down a hill that would result in 50mph speeds, I’d keep an eye out for a replacement.
Nice thing about steel frames is that they’re repairable, if you particularly like the bike? Probably wouldn’t do much riding on it in its current state though, that’s a serious bit of damage.
Based on the condition of the fork, it looks like you like to live dangerously. I wouldn’t ride it myself.
