I’ve looked to replace the seat clamp on my Canyon Exceed MTB as the seat doesn’t stay in place and after a million adjustments, I’ve almost (almost!) rounded off the screw (picture 1).
Picture 2 is the part that Canyon sent me… it cost £23 and two weeks wait and now I’m not sure what the hell I’m supposed to do with it… or if its even the right part.
Picture 2 is just a single piece, and the screw part doesn’t tighten, loosen or come off. Not that I’ve noticed yet anyway. The bike is carbon if that makes any difference.
Any ideas?

Pretty sure you thread that part in from inside the frame, i guess your black plastic bit has snapped off the threaded part on your old one.
Not entirely sure as I dont have this seat clamp, but that would be my starting point.
