I’ve got a new bike, however, I’m realising my 20 mile round trip commute is unpleasant now I don’t have my front pizza rack. I hadn’t appreciated how sweaty a bag on the back would be with just a tshirt and trousers in there!

I don’t think I can easily fit my rack to it.

I do however have a gravel fork. Which unfortunately isn’t tapered

I’m certain an adapter must exist – some googling is swamping me with standards and options which I’m not knowledgeable enough to be confident I’ve got the right thing, could anyone point me in the right direction?

Panniers and rack could be a simpler, if more expensive solution – I do however prefer the versatility of the front rack.

Thanks!

  1. Don’t change forks, at least not to that one. You can get a tapered stem carbon fork with attachment points. I suggest that the easiest, and cheapest route, is to go to a bike shop and ask them to suggest a rack. With all the bikepacking, I think someone has a rack that will work.

  2. Canecreek used to have headset reducers, it looks like they are doing it with a reducer crown race, which seems more ideal since you can use your existing headset bearings, assuming they have the same contact angles.
