First ride today on the 1985 Bridgestone 500 27″-700c rebuild.

I I've been wanting a Bridgestone for a while, and was inspired by another posters Bridgestone 500 700c all-road conversion, so picked up this frame from marketplace. 36mm challenge getaway tires in 700c live up to their reputation of ride feel and fit perfectly with safe clearance. The Gran-Compe 610 brakes are strong and have great modulation. First rim brake bike I have that can actually lock up the tires! Had to modify the bag support so it would clear the tire, so I bought one with a broken brake bolt attachment, rebent it and drilled a new hole. I love the bend of the Ritchey VentureMax bars. Probably the most comfortable drop bars I've ridden. Bikingreen 46-30 and 10sp XT 11-36 with 9sp Ultegra derailleur shifts so nice! With (aliexpress) titanium bottom bracket and carbon wheels weight is only 21.6lbs. Can't wait to get a front bag and take it off road.
