When we first started developing the 2026 collection, our goal was simple: to create bikes that are lighter, stronger, smarter, and more fun to ride. Today, after years of work with our engineering partners in Slovakia, Germany, and Japan, we’re proud to introduce a new generation of Kellys bicycles for 2026 season.
At the heart of it all is MAXXPRO – our revolutionary new e-bike drive system. But that’s only part of the story. Alongside MAXXPRO, we’re bringing you a redesigned e-bike lineup with some completely new categories, plus a fresh range of road, gravel, touring, and kids’ bikes. Without exaggeration, this is one of the biggest single steps forward in Kellys history.

When the first e-bikes rolled into the streets, they didn’t just spark curiosity. They split opinion. Some people were worried about the range, reliability and about how heavy these e-bikes were. Fast forward to 2025 and many of those doubts are history. But one still remains. It influences your whole e-bike riding experience more than anything else. And that is weight. My name is Michal Divinec, I’m CEO of Kellys Bicycles and today we will show you not only how we reduce the weight of the ebikes WITHOUT compromising on its performance, but also some other interesting announcements. Welcome to KELLYS KEYNOTE 2026. The world keeps moving, but for those who truly lead, the goal isn’t just to keep up, it’s to go further, to think bigger and to build what comes next. E-bike’s weight is one of the most defining factors on how enjoyable it is to ride in the terrain, but also how easy it is to manipulate with it also when you are not riding. So it is not a surprise that e-bike system manufacturers work very hard to reduce the weight of core components. Especially the motor and battery, which have the biggest impact on overall weight. But how do you reduce the weight of the battery? Very easy solution is to just reduce the number of cells, but then you just end up with a bad e-bike because it would have very low range. Or on the other hand, if you want to have a huge capacity, you can just add more cells, but then your battery would be extremely heavy and your riding experience would be just terrible. So how do you make a good battery? The key parameter is battery’s energy density. With high energy density, you can make a battery which is lighter or you can make a battery in the same weight, but with a higher capacity. So every e-bike system manufacturer tries to develop battery with the highest energy density possible. So how are they doing? New battery from Specialized, announced just a few months ago, was able to achieve 191 watt-hours per kilogramme. Bosch PowerTube 205 and DJI Avinox 214 watt-hours per kilo. But for the past two years, our engineering teams from two different countries and three separate companies were working on something new, something not yet seen anywhere in the e-bike world nor expected in the near future. We are introducing not one, but three completely new batteries which are ahead of its competitors by at least one full generation. We call them MAXXPRO because they truly are the maximum in professional battery performance. There are three new KELLYS MAXXPRO batteries 725 watt-hours, 820 820 watt-hours and 900 watt-hours of battery capacity. And the smallest one, 725 watt-hour battery, is having energy density as its most expensive nearest competitor. 820 watt-hour battery is surpassing them all by the biggest performance increase of 236 watt-hours per kilo in total. And all new 900 watt-hours KELLYS MAXXPRO battery is having energy density of 257 watt-hours per kilogramme, which is 35% more than just newly released Specialized battery. That is absolutely unprecedented performance number never seen anywhere in the e-bike world, giving riders battery lighter by almost 20% with higher capacity at the same time. 20% lighter and higher capacity in one product. New KELLYS K2 MAXXPRO 900 watt-hour battery weighs only 3.5 kilogrammes, which is almost one kilogramme lighter than newly released battery from Specialized. One kilogramme lighter just on the battery. Every MAXXPRO battery is lighter than any battery with comparable capacity from any competitor in the world. From 2027, there will be new mandatory EU battery norm, and all MAXXPRO batteries are designed and constructed from ground up to be fully compliant with this more demanding and difficult norm. And we are achieving that one full year in advance. Three new MAXXPRO batteries, 725 watt-hours, 820 watt-hours, and the biggest one 900 watt-hours. Every MAXXPRO battery is at least 20% lighter than the competitor with the highest energy density out there. With such an advanced batteries, we wanted to have a motor which would match their performance and low weight. So for the past two years, we are working with separate development team in Osaka, Japan on completely new motor, which was designed to work together with new MAXXPRO batteries. So new motor and new batteries. Maybe you have read some rumours out there, and yes, they were true. Because today, we are not introducing partial products. We are introducing completely new system. The all-new MAXXPRO e-bike drive system. Lightweight, powerful, and compact. The all-new MAXXPRO drive system consists of three new carbon fibre batteries with the highest energy density and the lowest overall weight out there. For the motor, we were working together with Panasonic on creating new drive unit which would be more powerful and lighter at the same time. The all-new Panasonic GXM Max Pro with 105 Nm of torque and weight of just 2.56 kg. Powerful, lightweight, and compact drive unit where we have created chassis from new type of magnesium alloy for lower weight and better heat management. We have also managed to reduce the size of the motor making it even more compact to fit new frames more seamlessly. New brain of the system consisting of hardware and software was also enhanced and is now available with new colour display with tonnes of functions and of course, full app connectivity where you can set up your motor more precisely. Furthermore, new software updates with even more functions will be coming in the near future. So how does the MAXXPRO drive system compares in terms of weight when we count the motor and battery together? New specialised 3.1 motor together with 840 Wh battery weights 7.55 kg. New Bosch CX generation 5 with PowerTube 800 weights 6.7 kg. And DJI Avinox with 800 Wh battery weights 6.26 kg. And all-new MAXXPRO e-bike drive system with 900 Wh battery weights around 6.1 kg making it the lightest full-power e-bike system available with 105 Nm of torque and huge 800 Wh or 900 Wh high-capacity battery. And we are not keeping this technology just for the top 1 % of our range. This is a matrix of all-new RS series e-bikes coming in 2026 and all of them are equipped with new super-light carbon-fibre MAXXPRO batteries. And these are equipped with full MAXXPRO system. We are proud to introduce all-new generation of KELLYS e-bikes collection. The all-new RS series. All e-bike frames are made in Europe. As you might know KELLYS is producing all-new aluminium and also carbon e-bike frames fully here in European Union on the continent. The all-new RS series e-bikes are made with the most precise tolerances in new fully robotic KUKA welding line. Most importantly all of these frames are around 10% lighter compared to previous generation. They are having fully built and yet fully removable battery system. Frames don’t have a huge hole in the side of the frame which always reduces the strength of the frame and requires to compensate it by much thicker walls which again would make the frames more heavier. Due to one-step battery removal process under the motor new RS series frames are much lighter and yet stronger at the same time. Battery retractable system is designed in a foolproof and simple way making sure your battery will be strongly fixed in place and quick to remove when needed. New TOS RS series frame looks similar to previous generation but nothing can be further from the truth. New TOS RS series full suspension e-bike has completely new frame with increased rear travel to 140 mm but the biggest change is done in terms of weight reduction and more seamless incorporation of new powerful and lightweight MAXXPRO system. All THEOS RS series e-bikes are now much lighter for better riding experience and easier handling. And when we talk about the weight of new aluminium RS series ebikes we should put it into the context. You know how it is with bikes. Every gramme matters. So it might come as a shock to you that many e-bikes of today weights around 26 kg or sometimes even more. Really staggering number. On the graph right here we can see three full suspension e-bikes in similar price range or higher and all are built on aluminium frame. New KTM Makina weights 25.9 kg, Specialized Turbo Levo 25.7 kg and Trek Powerfly 24.48 kg. And if these competitors want to have a lighter weight they usually go for carbon frame as next logical step. So these two are made on full carbon frame. Trek Rail 9.8 weights 24.18 kg and top of the line Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo 4 in full carbon frame, that means front triangle from carbon fibre and also rear triangle from carbon fibre weights 23.68 kg. And new aluminium KELLYS THEOS RS 90 built on new robotically welded frame here in European Union using new powerful and lightweight MAXXPRO system with 900Wh battery weights 22.98 kg So new aluminium e-bikes from KELLYS are lighter than carbon fibre e-bikes from these competitors. And KELLYS THEOS F100 on carbon frame is saving almost 5 kg of weight, giving you 5 kg of better riding experience. So we are not talking grams, we are talking 5 kg difference. New THEOS RS series comes in four specification levels and several colour options to choose from, titanium, dark forest and of course the beautiful rose gold. For the new season we are also introducing full suspension low-step e-bike which many of you have asked for. The all new THEOS RSE, unisex full suspension e-SUV e-bike with fully open frame for riders who require easier entry and wants to have one e-bike for all. e-SUV e-bikes are essentially mountain e-bikes which are equipped with all the comfortable necessities for your everyday rides, such as having additional LED lights, carrier, mudguard and kickstand, so perfect e-bike for any riding condition out there. New THEOS RSE comes in two specification levels and several colour options. We also have frame version with more classic look which will be called THEOS RSX. In hardtail category for TYGON and TAYEN RS series, we are having all technical advantages specific for new RS series, so they are more powerful, stronger and lighter. They are using new lighter frames produced here on European continent in robotised welding line and new lightweight and powerful MAXXPRO system. So new TYGON and TAYEN RS series are much lighter giving you better riding experience and much easier overall manipulation. New TYGON and TAYEN comes in three spec levels and several colour options. Big difference is that also TYGON and TAYEN RS50 is coming with new telescopic seatpost as standard. New ECRISTY is now unisex e-SUV model with open frame. ECRISTY is e-MTB with lights, mudguards, kickstand and carrier for the highest riding comfort out there. New ECRISTY, such as all other KELLYS e-bikes, is equipped now with thru-axles in both wheels for much better wheel quality and trouble-free e-bike which will last forever. ECRISTY comes in two spec levels and several colour options to choose from. Our product manager Michal Gábor will present you with hot news from e-gravel, road, trail and even kids category. Paráda chlapci 👏👏👏 sme hrdí že máme na Slovensku takúto svetovú firmu 🇸🇰🇸🇰👌
Amazing, world-class innovations, keep it up
I'm impressed. A bold move, and specific data compared to products from other companies. Nice !!! The only thing missing is display in the frame, like Specialized and Bosch offer.
finally somebody using panasonic! well done, great presentation, awesome product! I will have to test this!
Váha a krouťák je cajk, ale něco tu smrdí? Kolik že to má wattů v špičce? Proč to nikde nezmiňujete? 1000w jako dji, 750w jako Bosch, nebo 800w jako yamaha pwx4 ? Děkuji za odpověď.
Always makes me laugh when some bike spruiker says "full power ebike" and then gives a figure like 105nm. Bro, that ain't full power. Ultra has 160nm from like half a decade ago. X1 something like 260nm.
Ok guys, this is silicon valley level 👍
I am not impressed. When there is a motor out there that is leading the pack (DJI) and you come out with a new line, normally you would be more powerful not less!
Škoda geometrie rámu. Pre 2m eBikerov sú malé. Chcelo by to konečne XXL verzie.😮💨A už by som bol Váš verný zákazník. 😀 Každopádne palec hore nad novinkami v kategórii ebike. 👍
Well done keynote! I wish more bike manufacturers presented in this fashion, whether comments are critiquing what’s being released or providing positive feedback the company is allowed to see what the masses are really interested in spending their hard earned money on.
did you ever mention max watts?
Chlapci fajne – len ten display stenu mohlinintegrovatbdo rámu ale inak 🎉🎉
Dobry den, bude vrcholny model F100 v carbonu ? Myslim F100 s novymi motory.

When David challenges Goliath(s):
KELLYS is not exactly small, but it's not a global brand either. Well, it already acts like one. "Rude" innovations from Slovakia!
Inredible numbers. Love this.
Most likely they went with prismatic soft pouch cells, eliminating steel cans. Anyway looks impressive, too bad bike industry is tanking
Jedno veľké WOW! 🤯 O to viac, že na niečom svetovom sa podielajú Slováci 🇸🇰 Držíme palce! 💪😎🤞
