Hi.. I'm new to bikepacking and planning for my first trip soon. Looking for good budget pannier rack options available locally (India). Popular rack options are too expensive and/or not available in India.
So this Decathlon Ultralight 900 rack fits my requirements and budget as well. But few reviews on website mention that the strut assembly is not robust and the rack dangerously drops down. Does anyone have any experience with the rack?
Secondly, my bike, Bergamont Grandurance 4 doesn't have rack mounts under the seatpost. So I suppose, the seat clamp with rack mount is the only option?
Is it possible to attach the strut to the fender mount?
Any suggestions would help!

My daughter has had this rack on her bike for years. She regularly carries about 10 kg split between 2 panniers and has had no issues. We mounted it on the seatpost using a seat post clamp with rack mounts.
