stabbed away from Watkins. Important interception and now United with a chance to break. Tanali playing it through. Elanga gets away. His first big moment in a Newcastle shirt. One-on-one. Elanga saved. And Ashton Ber’s new goalkeeper denies Newcastle an early goal. Barnes on the far side of the area. Tackled. Anthony Elanga got in. And now Anthony Gordon’s won it back and goes for a looping shot that takes a deflection and goes for a corner on the near side. Oh, but Elanga inside three minutes could have marked his debut. Oh, huge chance. We really should be ahead to be quite honest. Trippier sends the free kick in. Bruno at the back of the box. Heads it into the middle. Barnes brings it under control. Gordon with a shot that ends up going behind. The goalkeeper got down. I think it’s a save from Bizot rather than a deflection. He may have seen it late. It’s a corner on the left. They just left Gimmar all on his own back post. He’s played it back to Cash who’s looking for space for the cross. Manages to deliver and straight to Elanga. Gordon making the run ahead. Elanga plays it in behind and Gordon running onto it. Anthony Gordon pulled down by Concer. Referee with a big decision to make. It’s a red card. Ezri Ka sent off for pulling down Anthony Gordon who was through on goal. Aston Villa reduced to 10 men in the 66th minute. Concer sent off by Craig Porson. Here’s the free kick. Trippier plays it to Tanali. Laid off to Sher. Fabian Sher has missed the target. Bruno’s won it back in midfield. Tanali on to Trippia. Newcastle with attacking intent trying to get their noses in front. Elanganger on the outside. Here’s the cross. Harvey Barnes deflected and just wide. Marlin on the chase. Pope comes to the edge of the area to pick up and roll out quickly to Bruno. Now they’ve got to get forwards. Bruno to the feet of Gordon. Inside away from Cash. Still Gordon. Oh, great feet from Gordon. It’s a brilliant run. Gordon goes for the shot and the keeper gets down low to the left to save. After the footwork on the run in the leadup, Gordon is going to send the ball in. He does. Goalkeepers clawed it away. Nobody for Newcastle able to get a touch. Oh, what a ball that was.

  8. Italian football coaches have sent a letter to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) asking for it to submit a request to UEFA and FIFA for Israel’s suspension from international competitions over the genocide in Gaza.
The Association of Italian Coaches (AIAC) announced its initiative to mobilize on behalf of the Palestinian people, describing it as “not just a symbolic action, but a necessary choice, responding to a moral imperative, shared by the entire leadership team, the Italian News Agency (ASNA) reported.
“The values of humanity, which underpin those of sport, compel us to oppose acts of oppression with terrible consequences,” AIAC President Renzo Ulivieri said in the letter. “We can only focus on playing, looking the other way: we believe this is unfair,” echoed Vice President Renzo Camolese.
“Too many innocent deaths, including many athletes. This is yet another reason to seek international countermeasures in our sector,” added Vice President Giuseppe Vossi. “The world is in flames. Many people, like the Palestinians, are suffering. Indifference is unacceptable,” concluded Vice President Roberto Perondi.

  9. My Rant:

Everyone has supported Isak along the way. Isak says "people" have pushed their own version of events during his deliberate "silence and one man strike". So did he expect fans and football critics to say nothing? Not in the real world Alexander. He says comments made by people (?) didn't reflect what was really said. "NO" people were commenting on what he did or didn't do, and written and signed contractual agreements arrangements broken and also comments released from his agent. NOT on what he said. So he's wrong there. He was personally "silent". How could anyone give a right or wrong version of what he said?

If promises were made they were made on paper so show the written evidence of those promises? You can't? Promises to leave the club? or sell him? ..whenever he wants to leave? or when he wants to be sold? Nuts! Sorry mate not buying it.

But the reality is he signed a contract for several years. Full Stop. He's Contradicting himself. He's coming across as "DISINGENUIOUS"?

    Cognitive Dissonance?

Then is it a Mental Health issue? If it is, he has all the support of the club and fans. Is he having a break down?

So he says after signing a contract for a number of years he's now saying the club had known about his position for a long time. Firstly he hasn't been at the club for a long time and secondly, he agreed and signed a contract for a number of years.

He is now in breach of the contract yet Newcastle Utd are still paying his wages. Could you or I do this with an employer who is paying you over £120,000 a week?

So he is saying when promises (verbal) are broken (?) and therefore "trust" is lost, the relationship can't continue. It's not a "relationship" Alexander it's more like a marriage not a relationship. It's about what your vows are and the clubs views. It's contractual. It's not a boy friend girl friend thing. This is a business. In Alexander NOT HONOURING his contractual duty etc it's for the interests of himself only NOT in the interests of everyone. So please don't go down that path mate.

I think Alexander is extremely lucky Newcastle is still prepared to welcome him back when he's ready instead of suing both him and his agent. Newcastle is a forgiving club. They stick to the contracts and honour their side. Verbal hearsay is neither here nor there in business, it's about what's in writing.
Did the player of the match in the Caribou Cup victory against Liverpool (DAN BURN) mess around like this?

Reality check Alexander. Don't ruin your career like this. Get back to playing for Newcastle Utd or they and any future club boards will never trust you again as going on strike, breaking your "written agreement" etc would unsettle any club and the supporters etc. The longer you drag this out the worse it will get.

Get back to where you once belong contractually: Newcastle Utd..
