Did two nights on Catalina. Very mellow riding, gravel roads never got too gnarley and water was available at sites keeping my bike on the lighter side.

My take away is that I’d love wider tires. The 42mm max on the Grail is totally fine for pavement, which is 90% of what I use this bike for, but for a longer pack trip with anything rougher than normal dirt roads, some extra rubber and air would help. Currently running 42mm Pathfinders which I like for my normal city riding.

Might look at putting a knobbier 45mm up front.

But all in all very impressed with this bike. No rattles, felt like a rocket, and stayed stable.
