I don’t think I can handle two-hour commute for the uni everyday again😇 I should rent an apartment near my uni…👀
帰国してからの2時間通学、やってける気がしない〜😇本当に大学付近の物件探した方がいいよね…👀

Japan you got to fix this hi it’s emu I’m a Japanese exchange student in Czech Republic today I suddenly remember one of my biggest shots when I first come here the transportation system in Japan FS depend on how many station you pass in Czech Republic FS depend on how long you write wait what yeah I was surprised too but the best part of our check transport it’s super cheap back in Japan I had a 2hour commute to my university every day my commu pass about 43,000 Yen for 3 months but in Czech Republic a pass for unlimited pass in TRS Clos just 685 check crowns for 3 months excuse me what and get this in Japan getting a student discount pass means lining up at the ticket office but in Czech Republic everything’s online I actually bought my monthly pass before even arriving here honestly Japanese public transport is way too expensive Japan you should change this anyway that’s it for today see you tomorrow

  1. I can attest to that. I study in the same town and the public transportation here is really well done and cheap, especially compared to most others I have tried with few exceptions.

  2. I spent 5 years at the very same dormitory 20 years ago. The rooms have still the same furniture :). These beds observed too much in their lifetime :). Btw. the comparison may be a little unfair, I believe your pass covers only zones 100+101 which is definitely a very small area in comparison to what you probably traveled through during 2 hours commute in Japan. And average salary is about 35% higher in Japan.

  3. There is also one cultural difference, Iam czech and I would never work/study somewhere where I need to spend 2 hours to get there and then get back after. I want to live my life too.

  4. Don’t forget that it works for trains (in Prague) which you take as shortcut :), also for a boat or cable to Petrin tower, all of this is included in you pass

  5. Don’t forget that it works for trains (in Prague) which you can take as shortcut :), also for a boat on Vltava or cable to Petrin tower, all of this is included in you pass

  6. I believe that in Japan you have way more modern and developed public transport than what we do have in Prague. More secure, clean, faster, on time etc.

And also, way better salaries. Are you planning to come back to Czech republic to pay us a visit again once you are back in Japan?

  7. Most of the costs are actually covered by cities so at the end it is not "that" cheap. Eg in Prague they would have to charge you 5-6 times more and the costs would not be very far from Japan (depends on whether they also subsidize it or not)
