This is my $60 craigslist find. Everything about this bike was super clean. I put on some drop bars, new inner and outer cables. tape, saddle, tubes and tires. Put a new chain on today and took it for a 10 mile spin. Definitely need to true these wheels!

Er, you installed drop bars, or you installed bullhorns?
Looks like a great find for only 60, very clean, in good condition.
I was just looking at the same bike with a single speed conversion on it. Looks like a fun bike.
Yes totally. I like this a lot. My first road bike was a Peugeot when I was about 15. Damn, I rode that bike ALL OVER San Diego, from the harbor to the mountains.
Bikes with bullhorns and down tube/ stem shifters are sweet. I have an old trek 1200 that’s setup with bullhorns, it feels like a single speed cuz the cockpit is uncluttered with shifters.
Bullhorns on my ss

Have you ridden them before? What are your thoughts?
I am really into alt bars – but bullhorns, the couple times I tried them, felt absolutely terrifying. I don’t like drop bars either though, so my perception is a bit skewed
Cut and flipped champion bars are cooler than ordered bullhorns
Just a curbside frame gets you in the club
I literally just put on bar ends on my 1990s Diamondback Outlook . Game changer
