I'm looking for a new bike. I'm not a super experienced rider but enjoy a trip to the forest. Sometimes by myself and sometimes with my 4 yo on a shotgun seat.
What would you guys choose and why? Both are on sale at the moment and seems pretty good.

I just got into mountain biking last year and bought a 2021 EX 8 and don’t regret it one bit. Super fun bike that I really enjoy.

Why would the Chisel be out of question? Seriously wondering?
The top fuel is gonna be a better trail bike and can probably handle more.
The Chisel really does come across as a true XC go-fast bike made for racing mellow xc courses.

The 2022 top fuel was when they made it a bit burlier bike. So it’s a step right from if you put it on a spectrum from XC to enduro. But not much though. From the sound of how you ride I’d say chisel. It’s plenty capable a bit lighter but can still handle fun trails just fine.
